June 9, 2025 – Three Canadian travel advisors, who were winners in the Sell Your Way to the USA incentive campaign, have just returned from a prize FAM trip to Utah from June 2-7, 2025, hosted by the Utah Office of Tourism and its partners.
The FAM participants included: Maria Karagioules, Voyage International, Montreal, QC; Alida Lio, The Travel Agent Next Door, Toronto, ON; and Sue Kos, Bee Travel, Edmonton, AB.
“Like many U.S. states, Canada is the top international market for Utah,” says Tera Atwood, Global Markets Manager, Utah Office of Tourism. “We were one of the only states that stayed invested in Canada during the pandemic, and we are absolutely staying committed to the market now with our participation in Sell Your Way to the USA as just one example.”
Known for its Mighty 5® national parks in the south and The Greatest Snow on Earth® in the north, Utah showcases Life Elevated® to visitors from Canada and around the world. The FAM explored three of northern Utah's premier destinations: Salt Lake City, Logan and the Heber Valley, showcasing all they have to offer in the off-season.
Soon after touching down in Utah at what has been branded the New SLC Airport, the participants quickly took off for an elevated experience, a scenic flightseeing tour of the Great Salt Lake with Absolute Flight. Driving tours of Salt Lake City with Southwest Adventure Tours and Little Cottonwood Canyon Scenic Byway rounded out the group’s exploration – a two-night stay in Salt Lake City is a must for every itinerary.
Next, the FAM drove north to Logan and visited the American West Heritage Center and then hit the forested trails for an exhilarating RZR ride at Beaver Creek Lodge. Transferring to the Heber Valley, half way between Park City and Sundance Mountain Resort, the participants soared to new heights again with ZipLine Utah, followed by a soak in the hot springs at Homestead Crater.
To keep the energy high, the FAM sampled a dirty soda at one of Utah’s many soda shops as well as Salt Lake City’s burgeoning urban dining scene (often nominated for James Beard Awards). Northern Utah’s agri-tourism offerings in Logan’s Cache Valley and a farm tour at Heber Valley Milk & Artisan Cheese also provided a taste of life in Utah.
The Sell Your Way to the USA winners returned to Canada with a new understanding of Life Elevated® in Utah, including all that Northern Utah has to offer, especially in the off-season.
