Australian Travel Advisors Experience 40th Annual GrapeFest® in Grapevine, Texas
September 29 2026 – Four Australian travel professionals have returned from Grapevine, Texas, after experiencing the 40th Annual GrapeFest® – A Texas Wine Experience, as part of a six-day hosted FAM showcasing the destination’s wine, dining, entertainment and signature Texas experiences. The milestone festival took place from September 17 - 20 along Historic Main Street.
The group included Anna Shannon (Travel Agent Finder), Angela Hill (Gallivanter Travel), Kiyah Rook (Travel Associates Jamison Plaza) and Rachel Crawford (Flight Centre).
During the FAM, the group experienced the attractions and local character that make Grapevine a destination in its own right. They explored Historic Main Street, taking in Grapevine Observation Tower, Grapevine Vintage Railroad, galleries and art studios, before enjoying a Grapevine food experience and a visit to Meow Wolf’s The Real Unreal. The group also explored Grapevine Mills, enjoyed a wine tasting at Landon Winery and sampled the destination’s dining and nightlife.
The trip also gave participants a taste of the wider North Texas experience, with a visit to the Historic Stockyards, including its famous cattle drive, and a Dallas city tour.
GrapeFest was at the heart of the trip, with the group experiencing the festival’s International Wine Experience, Champagne Terrace and live entertainment before putting their competitive skills to the test in the popular GrapeStomp Competition. They also attended the People’s Choice Wine Tasting Classic, one of GrapeFest’s signature wine experiences.
Beyond the festival, the FAM highlighted the range of experiences available to Australian travellers staying in Grapevine, including a visit to the newly opened Dig World at Grapevine Mills. The construction-themed adventure park gives visitors the chance to get behind the controls of real construction equipment, including excavators and skid steers.
Located just minutes from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), Grapevine offers travellers an easy introduction to Texas, combining its walkable Historic Main Street, local wine scene, live music, shopping and entertainment with convenient access to the wider Dallas–Fort Worth region.
The FAM provided the Australian participants with first-hand destination knowledge and experiences they can now share with clients looking to incorporate Grapevine into a wider Texas or USA itinerary.
