The MICHELIN Guide has announced it is expanding into the American Southwest for the first time, with a new regional guide covering Utah and its partners Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico. The MICHELIN Guide’s anonymous Inspectors are already in the region and scouting for culinary talent throughout Utah. The full restaurant selection will be revealed during the annual 2026 MICHELIN Guide Southwest ceremony to be held later this year. This allows Canadians ample time to make future dining reservations within celebrated metropolitan hubs like Salt Lake City and Park City, to distinctive communities across the state like Kanab and Torrey.

Seasonal Non-Stop Air Access from Canada
Utah is delighted to welcome back seasonal, non-stop service from Canada’s national carriers this spring. WestJet launched Edmonton (YEG) to Salt Lake City (SLC) last year and the service is currently scheduled to return May 22, 2026 – October 11, 2026 operating two times weekly. Air Canada’s Toronto (YYZ) to Salt Lake City (SLC) service is currently scheduled to resume May 24, 2026 – October 18, 2026 operating four times weekly. These convenient connections provide Canadian travellers with easy access to Utah’s renowned outdoor adventures, national parks, and city experiences. Once in destination, the newly developed Salt Lake City International Airport is located just a 10-minute transfer from downtown hotels and 35-mins to Park City making it an ideal gateway for both leisure and business travellers.

Luxury Rail Journey Connecting Utah
Train travel continues to trend in popularity globally and Canyon Spirit, operated by Canada’s Armstrong Collective (Rocky Mountaineer), is expanding its luxury rail journey through the American Southwest to include Salt Lake City in 2026. Beginning April 21, 2026, the new three-day ‘Rockies to the Red Rocks’ extension between Salt Lake City, Moab and Denver will travel weekly with one eastbound departure from Salt Lake City and one westbound departure from Denver. The route includes overnight hotel accommodation in Moab and Glenwood Springs, and travels through red rock formations, rugged river canyons and the along Colorado River.
