Canadian Travel Advisors Experience Oregon's Scenic Columbia Gorge, Coast and Portland

June 15, 2026 – Three Canadian travel advisors, who were winners in the Sell Your Way to the USA incentive campaign, in partnership with Brand USA and Air Canada, have just returned from a prize FAM trip to Oregon from June 1-6, 2026, hosted by Travel Oregon.
The FAM participants included: Sue Kos, Envoyage, Sherwood Park, AB; Jennifer Quinlan, Trevello Travel Group, Barrie, ON; and Anna Chalkadryan, CTMS Travel, Woodbridge, ON.
"It was very important to Travel Oregon to once again support the Sell Your Way to the USA campaign and continue strengthening relationships with Canadian travel advisors," says Thomas Moser, Global Sales Manager, Travel Oregon. "This itinerary was designed to showcase some of Oregon's most iconic landscapes, culinary experiences and communities, while highlighting the diversity of experiences available throughout the state."
The FAM began in the Columbia River Gorge and Hood River region, where participants explored the historic Hood River Hotel and experienced the Hood River Valley Rail Bikeadventure, offering a unique way to discover the area's orchards, vineyards and mountain scenery. The group also sampled local flavours along the famous Hood River Fruit Loop and enjoyed lunch overlooking Mt. Hood at Grateful Vineyard.
The itinerary continued west through the Columbia River Gorge before arriving on the Oregon Coast. In Seaside and Cannon Beach, the advisors explored the iconic Promenade, enjoyed fresh local seafood and participated in a private tour with the Haystack Rock Awareness Program, learning about the region's unique marine ecosystem and conservation efforts.

The final portion of the FAM focused on Portland, where the group experienced the city's renowned food, arts and cultural scene. Highlights included a doughnut and coffee tour via the Portland Aerial Tram, a lunch cruise aboard the Portland Spirit, visits to the International Rose Test Garden and Portland Japanese Garden, and time exploring the city's eclectic neighbourhoods, food cart pods and local businesses.
The advisors also experienced several seasonal events taking place during their visit, including the Portland Rose Festival, the Starry Night Wine and Beverage Walk and a Portland Fire WNBA game, providing additional insight into the city's vibrant event calendar and local culture.
The Sell Your Way to the USA winners returned to Canada inspired by Oregon's combination of outdoor adventure, coastal beauty, culinary excellence and welcoming communities, and better equipped to share the destination's diverse experiences with Canadian travellers.
