Travel Nevada welcomes international travel professionals on an exhilarating road trip of the “Silver State”

19 June 2025: Travel Nevada recently welcomed a select group of high-profile travel professionals from Australia, Canada, Mexico, Germany and the United Kingdom, inviting them to “Get A Little Out There” and discover the diverse experiences that define the Silver State. 



The Multi-Market Trailblazer FAM Tour, hosted by Travel Nevada took place from 26 to 31 May 2025, and included agents from The Curated Traveller and Playford Travel (Australia), The Travel Agent Next Door (Canada), CANUSA Touristik (Germany), Vista Travel – a Hays Travel affiliate (UK),  and Mundo Joven (Mexico). International participants were selected based on their recent registration and successful completion of the  Travel Nevada Trailblazers education program for travel agents.


The itinerary was crafted to introduce these global travel industry leaders to Nevada’s unique attractions and resorts, vibrant city life to breathtaking natural landscapes, culminating in an unforgettable road trip adventure. 


This immersive journey highlighted Nevada’s remarkable blend of natural beauty, western heritage, and elevated hospitality—reinforcing its position as a diverse, welcoming destination for international travellers.


The group’s journey began in Reno, Nevada’s “Biggest Little City,” where they were welcomed at the luxurious Grand Sierra Resort and enjoyed a welcome dinner at the on-site restaurant, Uno Mas Modern Mexican. From there, the trailblazers embarked on a road trip through the heart of the Silver State, visiting Fallon, Virginia City, Carson Valley, South Lake Tahoe, Incline Village in North Lake Tahoe, Carson City, before returning to Reno. 



Highlights of the trip included:

  • A historic walking tour of Virginia City, where the group stepped back in time to the days of the silver rush.

  • Experiencing Fallon, regarded as the “Oasis of Nevada,” on a walking tour of Maine Street followed by lunch at local-favourite, Courtyard Cafe & Bakery.

  • A culinary and cultural evening at JT Basque Bar & Dining Room in Gardnerville.

  • Outdoor adventure at Lake Tahoe, including an elegant breakfast at the luxurious Edgewood Tahoe, an e-bike ride along the scenic Flume Trail, and a breathtaking MS Dixie II cruise on Emerald Bay.

  • A visit to the Tahoe Environmental Research Center, offering insight into sustainable tourism and environmental stewardship.

  • Walks along Carson City’s Governor’s Mansion and Federal Hotel.

  • Hotel and casino site tours at some of the region’s top properties including Grand Sierra Resort, Bally’s Lake TahoeCaesars Republic South Lake Tahoe, Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe, Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe, Edgewood Tahoe, Carson Valley Inn, Federal Hotel Downtown Carson City, The Row (Caesars Entertainment), and the newly transformed J Resort in downtown Reno.

  • A high-energy grand finale at the Banana Ball World Tour game at Greater Nevada Field, where the group cheered on the Party Animals vs. Texas Tailgaters.
