Travel Nevada Hosts “Sell Your Way to the USA” Winners on Prize FAM

June 12, 2025 – Three Canadian travel advisors, who were winners in the Sell Your Way to the USA incentive campaign, have returned from a prize FAM trip hosted by Travel Nevada from June 2-6, 2025.  

The FAM participants included: Kirsty Roberts, Dream Destinations, Toronto, ON; Vanessa Barone, Sportscorp Travel, Bolton, ON; and Brittany Uskoski, BCD Travel, Winnipeg, MB.  

“Canada is Nevada’s top international market, and the travel trade remains crucial partners in maintaining these long-term connections” says Nicola Orsua, Chief Industry Development Officer, Travel Nevada. “Our participation in Sell Your Way to the USA is a great way to drive awareness beyond the bright lights of our gateway cities.” 

Travel Nevada has curated 10 road trips across the state designed to inspire visitors to “Get A Little Out There.” The prize FAM participants experienced the Lake Tahoe Loop,  where their adventure began in North Lake Tahoe.  

There, they took a Clearly Tahoe kayaking tour where they paddled in a clear kayak on the breathtaking crystal blue waters of Lake Tahoe. They also toured the Tahoe Science Center and rented e-bikes from Flume Trail Bikes to ride the scenic Tahoe East Shore Trail. 

Next on the loop, the FAM stepped back in time in Virginia City – where Nevada’s Wild West spirit is still very much alive, and the entire town has earned a spot on the National Register of Historic Places – before arriving in Reno for a two-night stay. 

Participants fittingly visited the National Automobile Museum on their road trip, followed by the Nevada Museum of Art and a Pineapple Pedicab Mural Tour. Northern Nevada is the centre of Basque culture in the U.S., and no visit to the state would be complete without an essential Nevada experience: enjoying a Picon Punch and sampling Basque cuisine, which the group experienced at Reno’s iconic Louis Basque Corner. 

Whether arriving to Nevada via Las Vegas, Reno or San Francisco, the Sell Your Way to the USA winners learned travellers can quickly “Get A Little Out There” and go from neon to nature within a short drive.
