17 November 2025 - Three top-performing New Zealand travel advisors have returned home, newly equipped to sell the diverse landscapes of Utah, following their participation in the ‘Sell Your Way to the USA’ 2025 incentive program. The winners spent a dynamic week exploring the state’s contrast of alpine valleys and iconic red-rock canyons on a comprehensive self-drive familiarisation trip.
The winners—Jodi van de Wydeven (Two Feet Agency), Sophie Shaw (NZ Travel Brokers), and Dan Eastwood (Infinity Holidays)—traveled courtesy of air partner American Airlines, flying from Auckland to Salt Lake City via Dallas Fort Worth. They were hosted by key partners along their route, gaining essential, firsthand product knowledge.
The journey kicked off in Salt Lake City, before heading north to the mountains and Heber Valley. The group then drove south, immersing themselves in the dramatic canyon country of Cedar City and Kanab, ultimately conquering three of Utah’s legendary National Parks: Zion, Bryce Canyon, and Capitol Reef.
Corey Marshall, Account Director for the Utah Office of Tourism, expressed his enthusiasm for the visit. “We were thrilled to welcome these exceptional New Zealand travel advisors to our state. For years, we’ve promoted the sheer scale and variety of Utah’s offering—from the vibrant mountains in the north to the stunning red rocks of the south, including our incomparable National and State Parks. We are confident that these advisors are now perfectly positioned to increase bookings to Utah.”

odi van de Wydeven, Founder of twofeet agency, reflected on her standout moments from the trip. "Definitely the Peekaboo Slot Canyon ATV tour with ROAM and the Zion National Park Overlook Trail — both were unreal! The ATV tour was such a blast, the perfect mix of fun, adventure, and learning. The Overlook Trail at Zion blew me away — the view from the top was next-level beauty.”
Dan Eastwood, Holidays Consultant at Infinity Holidays, shared what experiences he believes will resonate with his clients. “A road trip is very doable, the distances between sites aren't large, and also the attractions are not so far from Las Vegas (NZ guests often travel as far as Vegas but don't carry on further).”
Throughout the itinerary, the travel professionals secured vital product knowledge through immersive experiences, including:
Swimming in The Crater at Homestead Resort, Midway in Heber Valley, a 10,000-year-old hot spring.
Enjoying local wine tasting and culture in Cedar City.
Hiking geological marvels like The Belly of the Dragon and Peekaboo Slot Canyon near Kanab.
Exploring the otherworldly amphitheatres and famous hoodoos of Bryce Canyon National Park
Marshall concluded by looking ahead: “Keep an eye out in early 2026 for details on our next incentive opportunity. We look forward to seeing more New Zealand advisors ‘Selling your way to the USA’ and experiencing these incredible destinations for themselves.”
