2 October 2025: Travel Nevada recently welcomed three ‘Sell Your Way to the USA’ 2025 incentive winners from Australia, for a week-long road trip adventure through Nevada in collaboration with air partner, American Airlines.

The winning participants included Conrad Machado, Flight Centre Northbridge, Jodi Small, Flight Centre Carindale and Abbey Shannon, Flight Centre Business Travel. The three winners were rewarded with a Nevada FAM to experience the state's legendary landscapes, quirky attractions and warm hospitality firsthand.

Travel Nevada Account Director - Australia/ New Zealand, Corey Marshall said, “it was a privilege to showcase the Silver State to these top Australian travel advisors, knowing they’ll return home with unique and exciting stories of their firsthand off-the-beaten-track Nevada adventures.”

“The ‘Sell Your Way to the USA’ program continues to be a key element of our overall destination marketing strategy enabling us to engage, educate and incentivise  frontline agents - ensuring that they have the right tools to best represent and sell the full experience that Nevada offers.”

Flight Centre Carindale Team Leader, Jodi Small said, “the Nevada FAM was a real eye-opener for me as I had initially never heard of most of the places we visited. I had no idea you could see and do so much only a few hours out of Las Vegas.”

Flight Centre Northbridge Senior Consultant, Conrad Machado highlighted the group’s dining experiences and commented, “the cost of food and drinks outside Las Vegas was surprisingly low. Happy Burro Chili & Beer was a charming little spot, and we also really enjoyed Mountain Springs Saloon.”

Flight Centre Business Travel Manager Abbey Shannon couldn’t name just one highlight and said, “there were too many to name, but the bike ride in Red Rock Canyon was so much fun. Being so close to Las Vegas yet feeling like you’re nowhere near a city was incredible. Death Valley was another major highlight, with Zabriskie Point stunning and unique, and Badwater Basin truly breathtaking - I had never seen salt flats before. Finally, the Lip Smacking Food Tour in Downtown Las Vegas was a fun way to experience the city’s culinary scene, with amazing food and great stops - an ideal alternative to the Strip.”

The itinerary was crafted to highlight Nevada’s reputation as the road trip capital of America, showcasing off-the-beaten-path experiences, adventure, culture and western heritage. Participants experienced the destination firsthand by hitting the road themselves, equipping them to better promote Nevada to their clients.

The road-tripping adventure began in “the entertainment capital of the world” Las Vegas, with a stay at the recently refurbished Downtown Grand Hotel before venturing out to discover the nature behind the neon at  the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area for an exhilarating e-bike adventure with Cycle Vegas among striking desert scenery.

From there, the group discovered local flavours at Mountain Springs Saloon, sipped small-batch rum at Desert Cane Distillery, and enjoyed a BBQ under the stars at their night’s accommodation, Tarantula Ranch in Amargosa Valley.

The road trip then turned otherworldly along Nevada’s Extraterrestrial Highway, complete with stops at the quirky Little A’Le’Inn, the Alien Research Center, and ET Fresh Jerky. From there, the group experienced the fiery landscapes of Valley of Fire State Park and a stop at the engineering marvel of the Hoover Dam, before overnighting in Boulder City.

The adventure continued on the Colorado River with a kayak tour to Emerald Cave, spotting bighorn sheep and enjoying a picnic lunch by the water, before returning to Las Vegas for a Lip Smacking Foodie Tour showcasing the city’s vibrant culinary scene and overnighting at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas-Curio Collection by Hilton. The FAM wrapped up with time to explore some of Las Vegas’ cultural highlights before flying home on American Airlines.
