OUR WORK
Travel Oregon – OSE “Behind the Scenes” Event
BRIEF
Client: Travel Oregon
Campaign: Oregon Slightly Exaggerated (OSE) Media Engagement
Target Audience: Canadian travel media
In the lead-up to the Canadian airing of Travel Oregon’s Oregon Slightly Exaggerated (OSE) short film series in Fall 2021, Canuckiwi delivered a targeted media engagement in Vancouver to build anticipation and reintroduce Oregon as a welcoming, inspiring destination for British Columbian travellers.
The objective was to deepen media connection to the campaign by offering an exclusive, behind-the-scenes experience that went beyond traditional screenings.
Travel Oregon – Vancouver Media Event

IDEA
Canuckiwi curated an intimate “behind the scenes” media matinee at the Blue Moon Theatre at the Shangri-La Hotel, where invited media were given a sneak preview of the latest OSE animation.
The experience was brought to life through storytelling, introducing media to the people and communities featured in the campaign. Special guest Shequeita Frazier of Camp Yoshi shared personal insights into her organisation’s work—offering guided, multi-day nature adventures for Black travellers and their allies, centred on reconnection, community, and chef-prepared meals.
The screening was followed by an Oregon-inspired dinner, reinforcing the destination’s culinary and cultural appeal. To further encourage coverage, each attending journalist won a hosted press visit to one of Oregon’s seven regions, ensuring future, in-depth storytelling.
