In order to continue to build awareness of Oregon, generate leads and drive visitation from this market, Travel Oregon and its regional partners once again conducted an annual media mission to Canada.
Two cities and two different themes were selected for 2020: Toronto (Wellness) and Vancouver (Crab Boil). Desk-side meetings were also conducted in Toronto taking over a mobile spa and beauty bus to deliver an “Oregon Wellness Break.” In total, 54 top Canadian media were engaged.
Travel Oregon hosted Toronto travel media to a spa event and evening of wellness at Her Majesty’s Pleasure. Wellness shots, kombucha cocktails, healthy canapes, mini spa services (and Oregon wine and beer) were on offer. A prize draw awarded a trip to Oregon and Oregon-made candles were given as media gifts.
In Vancouver travel media were treated to a Crab Boil long table dinner at a private event space in Gastown. Partners provide Oregon culinary products, including Rogue Creamery’s award-winning blue cheese, Jacobsen salt and Queen Bee honey. A prize draw awarded a trip to Oregon and an Oregon cookbook (and apron) were given as media gifts.
